SLU develops the knowledge about how to use natural, biological land and water resources in a sustainable manner.
Education, research and environmental monitoring and assessment are pursued at some thirty locations all over the country. The main campuses are Alnarp, Umeå and Uppsala.

SLU contributes to the global goals

Agenda 2030 and the 17 global goals for sustainable development were adopted by the UN in 2015. The aim is to reduce poverty and achieve food security, improve education and health, mitigate climate change and achieve a sustainable use of sea and land-based ecosystems. SLU's education, research and environmental monitoring and assessment all strive to achieve many of these goals.

We seek solutions to critical problems, in theory and in practice. Our focus is on the real world and concrete problems, and on finding solutions for all life on our planet.
